Biography:

It is with great pleasure to be nominated for consideration for the Best Financial Services Organization Award
categoiy.
I have provided out outstanding leadership and tireless efforts in addressing the issue of seniors in our
community.
The numbers are staggering and provided help such as transportation, legal paperwork, financial help, and
medical help, etc. Most of the seniors live below the poverty line, every month can bring with it challenging
decisions about whether to pay the rent or seek needed medical care, to put gas in the car or healthy food on
the table, to purchase warm gloves or school supplies for a child.
But what is also staggering is how the efforts of one person, one particular person, can truly make a difference
in addressing this problem. In this capacity, Ashok Potdar managed the coordination and scheduling of
volunteers at social functions and made all the community projects successful.
In addition to that Ashok Potdar is a founder and treasurer of Silver Seniors Group of Des Plaines, IL. I have
organized monthly meeting with the seniors, scheduled events with DJ Live with singers,
and provided excellent dinner to all members.
As it seems necessary I have opened 2″«i location in West Chicago in ‘Arya Samaj Temple’ to include local
seniors of the community.
All this events handled with minimum membership fee in which have included free dinner with entertainments
and cultural activities to get our Indian community together.
1 have a great success for all this projects with the help of too many volunteers. We have open accounting
books and if any of our community member wants to review. These are all non-profit organization opened to
get community together and help and resolve the issues of seniors.
