Biography:

Kelvyn Darshan Thomas, known as Darshan, has been playing basketball since the age of 5 years old.

Darshan is 13 years old and will be entering 8^th grade at Blackhawk Middle School in Bensenville, IL. He is an active player of the AAU TRAVEL LEAGUE – INTEGRITY & LEGACY HOOPS, based out of Schaumburg, IL. This is Darshan’s 2^nd year with Integrity & Legacy Hoops Travel team. Darshan won the MVP award for the Spring/Summer League during his 1^st year with the team in 2018. Darshan has been recently recruited to Team Illinois – US Basketball team which is representing Illinois nationally and will be representing internationally as well in the upcoming year.

Basketball is a sport which Darshan enjoys playing with his peers. He trains 3 to 4 times a week to better his skills, speed, and agility in this sport.

Darshan has played for many teams during these 8 years including Bensenville Park District Youth Basketball Winter and Summer leagues, Bensenville Bombers Dupage County Youth Travel team, Bartlett Ballers, DEA Nation AAU Travel League, Big 3 Basketball Academy AAU Travel League and Integrity & Legacy Hoops AAU Travel League.  The teams which he has played for has won many Tournament Championships and have been recognized for the wins. In March 2019, the Integrity & Legacy Hoops 7^th grade 12U Boys team competed at Illinois State Championship in Rockford, IL and placed 4^th in Illinois.

Darshan has played basketball at the park district level since the age of 5 years old when he was in entering Kindergarten and he has never stopped since then. He wishes & trains to better himself at the level where he can play in Division One at one of the Big 10 Colleges in the Country. Along with Basketball, Darshan has recently started to play Volley Ball and he runs Cross Country and is in Track & Field at his middle school. He excels in 100 & 400 Meter Dash, Hurdles & Long Jump.

Darshan is also learning to play Alto Saxophone and has been an active participant in his school’s music band since at age of 10 yrs old, since 5^th grade.

Darshan is also in the accelerated math program at his middle school. Math is one of his favorite subjects which he excels in along with Physical Education P.E.
