Biography:

Vidya Joshi is a master at perseverance. She knows her aspirations and takes efficient actions fueled with passionate efforts to ensure she reaches her goals. At the face of any adversity, she takes a deep breath and keeps on fighting for her ambitions. She doesn’t believe that the sky is the limit, and she continues to reach above and beyond the horizon.  Her persistence and determination is an inspiration to family, friends, and all others in her life. In her personal and professional life, she serves as an epitome of diligence and endurance. Her passion for all arts, public speaking, and even sports are driven by the desire to reach her full potential.

Her life story and her character motivate others to set their aims and fight for them. Her witty humor, compassion, and dedication to helping others attract all people toward her. She connects with everyone on a personal level and is a source of support for them through their life. In the future, her aim is to continuously make an impact on the people around her and eventually the world.

Dr. Vidya Joshi is a homeopathic doctor and has earned her MBA in Healthcare Administration; She currently manages numerous different clinics and hospitals. In addition to her professional achievements, she has been the head of numerous organizations, such as Maharashtra Mandal of Chicago, and has even founded a Marathi Shala in Chicago. During her term as President, she worked diligently throughout the year to bring forth unique programs to Chicago and increased community participation. Her motto for her term was “harnessing the cultural threads”, and though her programs and events geared to involve the youth in the community, she did just that. In addition to her incredible accomplishments in MMC, Dr. Vidya Joshi has established a Marathi Shala in Chicago. Her shala works to ensure children remain in touch with their culture and their roots by learning the language of their heritage. Her Shala has even received accreditation from the State of Illinois, allowing students in her school to utilize their certification in Marathi to receive high school credit.  She has given numerous presentations nationally showcasing the impacts of her Marathi Shala, and she has even provided the tools and support for the establishment of other Shalas around the nation. Throughout her life, Dr. Vidya Joshi has enthusiastically served her community and plans to even further impact those around her in the future.

She is been elected as BMM president for 2019 to 2021. She runs a charitable organization “Sahayyas” which helps students and kids with any problem like depression, support, etc.

As BMM president she will be managing 72 Maharashtra mandals nationwide which has a database of more than 100,000.
